LE BELLEZZE PICCOLE E CRUCIALI DI CAGLI

wish to repeat the letter published on Ray Reece "Here Flaminio on 12 November 2009. Because it seems to me an interesting food for thought. A chance to read not to be missed.

the Director.

As an American who now lives in Cagli, I wonder if most of the citizens of Cagli and other countries in the area realize how lucky they are to live here, rather than, for example, in a place like Dallas, Texas.
I think first of all the beauty in and around Cagli. There is the beauty of nature, the hills and the majestic mountains in the distance, sky blue with clouds that are constantly changing, like a painting alive. There is the beauty of the city itself, the ancient and classical architecture, the art treasures inside of some buildings and narrow streets with the beauty of the stones that sparkle after the rain.

But there is another kind of beauty in Cagli which is no less important. That's the beauty of a city where almost all the shops and restaurants are owned Cagli and managed by themselves. This contributes immensely to an identity that is unique to Cagli, a source of local pride, of course, that echoes the glorious past of the city-state of Italy.

In other words, unlike what happens in Dallas and other cities large and faceless in the United States-a Cagli there's only one McDonald's fast food, not even a Wal-Mart "ipermart" full of junk from the absurd China, with employees who are strangers to customers, with the parking as the Sahara desert full of cars and trucks that produce massive pollution hell.
